Yellow Gold and Pearl Mourning Brooch

An unusual brooch, consisting of engraved yellow gold setting, with a double row of pearls inside, containing a locket of woven hair in the centre, traditionally designed as a mourning brooch. Dated 1833, it is inscribed on the reverse with the names and dates of three people.
